2016 was the year of budget smartphones. Smartphones have become one of the basic need of an individual to meet day to day needs ranging from connecting with people, accessing an information via the internet and managing a workplace to facilitate a better lifestyle. The Smartphone industry goes through rapid changes because of latest designs, higher resolution, better graphics and other trends.

Keeping that in mind, given below are the 4 hottest smartphone trends to watch out for in 2017 :

The Evolution Of Smartphone Design : Smartphones have immensely evolved over the past few years. Apple's 2017 iPhone lineup is to change from all-metal case of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to a glass casing that will allow the upcoming iPhones gain wireless charging capabilities.
Also, another smartphone Galaxy X will be coming out with a folding flexible Super AMOLED display feature that will allow the handset to be a full-size smartphone .

Growth In Virtual And Augment Reality : 2016 is set to be the year of virtual reality with many companies releasing VR headsets this year. There is a tremendous opportunity for virtual reality companies to spread out on budget smartphones in 2017. So far, Google's Daydream is only compatible with headsets running Android 7 Nougat which is the Pixel and Pixel XL. But 2017 will see Google's Daydream coming across a broad range of new Android phones.

Thin Light Weight Smartphones : The title for world's thinnest smartphone title has become a contentious affair in past few years, as new companies pop up out every year to claim the title. The upcoming Apple iPhone 8 seems to be discarding the LCD display panels and moving on to AMOLED displays instead. It may soon join the slimmest phone of 2017 series.

Fastest-Charging Smartphones : Android smartphones in 2017 are going to charge faster than ever. A handful of smartphone companies are coming up with ways to extend your phone's battery life.Qualcomm, the largest maker of chips for mobile phonesm, has announced Quick Charge 4, which will bring even faster charging to devices including smartphones in 2017.
