To ensure you catch people's attention, it's important to have a great pitch -- and that doesn't mean a couple of paragraphs of copy. Instead, breaking up the text with images and videos will help grab viewers' attention while telling them more about your product, Rubin advises. Another important must-do is providing updates on your page. "Don't just sit on your story," Rubin tells BIZ Experiences, "but rather, engage with the audience."

From thinking about what perks to offer your audience to acting quickly, watch the video above to hear Rubin's four tips for a successful Indiegogo campaign.

Each week, the new pitch show BIZ Experiences Elevator Pitch gives aspiring BIZ Experiencess one minute to prove that their product or business is the next million-dollar idea. You can watch the episodes on BIZ Experiences.com, listen to the pitches and support the ideas you think show promise through Indiegogo.
