Nicole Walters, founder and CEO of Inherit Learning Company and star of USA Network's She's The Boss, recently spoke with Travis Montaque, CEO and founder of Holler, about the power of technology to provide mental health support during stressful times.

We all use various platforms to keep connected and productive during the pandemic, but as Montaque points out, those platforms and tools can serve a larger purpose. "We can use this technology to check in on the emotional well-being of people," she says. "One of the things that a lot of business leaders have learned over the past year is that the responsibility of leaders goes far beyond the workplace."

At Holler, Montaque says that he has leveraged platforms designed for work collaboration and repurposed them to create programs that focus on mental health. "Meditation sessions, virtual group yoga — things designed to help people relax and unwind," he explains. "Data has proven that being cooped up in the pandemic has negatively impacted people, so we have taken steps to get ahead of it."

Employees who are less stressed and feel less isolated are more engaged, more productive and more creative. And that, ultimately, means great things for your company morale, as well as your bottom line.
